Jordan Mack, age 22, of Watertown, South Dakota passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 in a tragic farm accident on the family farm. He was doing what he loved, feeding cattle. Memorial services will be Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Watertown. Father Joe Forcelle will be the celebrant along with other special clergy in attendants. Brian Ries will be the organist with Neal Mack as soloist.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 4-8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church.
Interment will be at a later date.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all of his cattle showing friends.
Jordan Francis Mack was born on June 17, 1988 to Emil M. and Renee G.(Hanson) Mack in Watertown, South Dakota. He grew up near Watertown and graduated from Watertown High School in 2007. He took an interest in the charolais business at eight years old, taking after his Grandma and Grandpa Hanson and his mother. Jordans love for showing cattle took him to Thomas Ranch at Harrold, South Dakota where he spent most of his summers learning the tricks of the trade of the show cattle world. He traveled all around the United States showing cattle. He was doing what he loved. The highlight of his career was winning the 2009 U-Fit-It contest, and the 2010 Supreme Champion Bull at the South Dakota State Fair.
He was a member of 4-H and South Dakota Charolais.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Francis and Ramona Mack.
Jordan is survived by his parents, Emil and Renee of Watertown; his sisters, Stephanie and Caitlin, and his brother, Landen Mack all of Watertown, SD; his grandparents, Marv and Anita Hanson of Revillo, SD; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
